Find Green ZIP Code Directory

The Green ZIP code directory is most useful for sorting delivery labels before looking at a particular address. Green uses more than one postal place name, so a Green address may carry a nearby city's name even when the parcel is within City limits. Start with the full address and postal code, check delivery information, then verify the road and parcel through the right public custodian. That sequence helps find residents ZIP by ZIP without turning a mailing label into proof of jurisdiction or residence.

Compare Green ZIP Codes

Green is served by six ZIP codes, not one City-only code. The City identifies six postal localities across two counties: Clinton, Green, Akron, Uniontown, and North Canton. Each row below is a Green-serving postal area, not a claim that every address carrying the code is inside Green. The distinction matters whenever a Green ZIP code directory search begins with a mailing label rather than a street number and parcel.

These Green ZIP codes explain why the same physical location may be described as Green, Uniontown, Akron, North Canton, or Clinton for delivery. Preserve the postal locality as it appears in a historic or current record. It can help retrieve a record even though it does not decide the municipality.

Match Green ZIPs to Postal Names

All Green addresses are dual-address capable under the City's FAQ. A recipient may use Green, OH with the current ZIP, while an older or neighboring postal form may also be deliverable. The City explains that the boundaries date to Green's more rural township period. That is why a Green postal label, a County label, and a City jurisdiction can describe different things at the same time.

The City's One Green, One ZIP explanation says that four of the six codes are associated with Summit County and two with Stark County areas. It describes a February 2025 request to USPS and proposed federal legislation supporting a unified code. The initiative is ongoing, not evidence that a ZIP reassignment has already occurred.

Green began as a township in 1809 and had several settlement centers before it became a village in 1991 and a city in 1992. Older directories, maps, tax records, and postal entries can therefore use hamlet or postal names that do not match a modern Green address. This history is a search caution, not a reason to rewrite a record's original locality.

Note: A Green address with an Akron, Clinton, North Canton, or Uniontown postal label can still require City and parcel verification.

Verify Green ZIP Addresses

Use USPS to answer the delivery question first. The USPS postal lookup is the documented Green route for checking current deliverability. Then use the City and Ohio Department of Taxation address-location process with the street number and ZIP to check physical location. If a newer Green street does not appear, the City directs callers to Green Income Tax at 330-896-6622.

The USPS result confirms a delivery form. It does not settle Green City limits, parcel ownership, or the title to land.

Once the number and road are normalized, use the City Street Index and the Summit GIS Parcel Viewer for the parcel and jurisdiction context. This keeps the Green postal search focused on delivery geography while moving any property question to the address and parcel tools that hold the relevant data.

Find Green Residents by ZIP Code

A ZIP can narrow a Green address question, but the research found no public ZIP filter in the Summit Property Tax search and no documented public ZIP filter in the BOE's voter or street-report tools. The property search modes are Parcel, Route, Address, Owner, and Image Parcel. The dependable process uses the ZIP as a postal check, then switches to street number, road, and parcel identifiers.

  1. Verify the candidate Green address and its delivery ZIP through USPS. Keep the postal city exactly as returned.
  2. Check the street number and ZIP with the City or Ohio address-location route. Call Green Income Tax for a newer street that does not appear.
  3. Use the Green Street Index and Summit GIS to place the road, check the parcel context, and identify the correct City jurisdiction.
  4. Search Summit Property Tax Information with the documented address form, parcel ID, route, or owner mode. Do not enter a ZIP as though it were an available search field.
  5. When the question becomes street-specific, use the Green street address directory for the parcel-to-deed and official street-report workflow.

This separation respects the different roles of Green postal, property, and election records. A resident's identity cannot be inferred from a ZIP alone. Property data may show an owner or mailing field; voter tools have statutory redactions and protected records.

Search Green Records After ZIP

Summit Property Tax Information is the Green property route after the ZIP and street have been verified. Its field set shows why it should not be described as a ZIP-wide residents list. Choose the tax year, then select a documented mode. The address format is 123 main, with no directional prefix and no street suffix. Owner mode uses the last-name-first pattern with a percent separator.

Summit Property Tax fieldTypeHow it applies after a Green ZIP check
Tax Year / current-owner selectionSelection controlRequired before a Green query.
ParcelTextSeven-digit parcel key, such as 0100001.
RouteTextAlternate alphanumeric route key.
AddressText123 main, omitting direction and suffix.
OwnerTextLastname%Firstname%, such as Smith%John%.
Image ParcelTextAlternate seven-digit parcel-image key.

The property result can contain parcel, owner, situs, mailing, appraisal, assessment, sales, and legal data families. Summit publishes a ZIP dataset in its CAMA downloads, but the public web property interface does not expose a ZIP input. A Green address or parcel remains the practical starting key. The mailing address is tax correspondence information, not proof that an owner lives at the Green situs.

Use Green ZIPs With GIS

A Green postal lookup is stronger when delivery verification is followed by a parcel map. The Summit GIS Parcel Viewer supplies mapped parcel boundaries, road labels, parcel labels, pan and zoom controls, and layers for jurisdictions and natural features. The City directs parcel-level mapping users to County GIS, while its own maps offer the Street Index, subdivision, zoning, ward, and location views.

The Summit County GIS Day information is a current County GIS source associated with the regional mapping program.

For Green, the GIS layer answers where a parcel is mapped. It does not replace the Fiscal Office for owner data or the Recording Division for a deed chain.

Use the map after the address is normalized, not as a search for every resident in a Green ZIP. Parcel geometry can show the physical setting and nearby parcels. It cannot turn postal geography into title evidence.

Separate Green Postal Custodians

Different Green questions belong with different custodians. USPS verifies delivery. City and Ohio address tools help confirm a physical location. The Fiscal Office ties an address to a tax parcel and its records. County GIS maps parcel geometry. The Recording Division holds deeds, plats, mortgages, releases, and related recorded instruments. Each one answers a different part of a Green postal question.

Vital records are another example of a separate route. A ZIP cannot establish a birth or death record. Summit County Public Health issues certified births for all Ohio counties and deaths occurring in Summit County, while historic Probate holdings and state channels have their own scopes. Ohio's R.C. 3705.23 vital-record rule governs copies and restrictions, including separate limits for some records.

The Ohio statute is a reminder that Green postal geography is only one locator. A certified record must be requested from the custodian that legally holds it.

Separate Green Postal Boundaries

Green postal boundaries and Green City limits do not match. The City says the six codes span two counties, and its dual-address policy lets several postal names coexist for delivery. A ZIP is not a municipal boundary, a parcel key, or proof that a person lives at a particular address. Verify City jurisdiction with the street number, the City Street Index, and County parcel layers.

Privacy and accuracy. Do not use a Green ZIP, postal label, or parcel mailing field to identify or target a person. Treat protected and confidential records as unavailable, and confirm an important address fact with its custodian.

Green's 2025 unified-ZIP effort makes the distinction especially important. A future postal change would still need a current USPS check. It would not rewrite Green deed descriptions, historic directory labels, or previous parcel records.

Define Green ZIP Code Terms

The ZIP terms used in a Green address search describe mail routing, not ownership or municipal status. These definitions help keep a Green delivery result separate from a property or resident record.

ZIP code
A Postal Service routing code for delivery. Green uses six City-serving codes with several postal locality names.
ZIP+4
An added four-digit delivery detail used with a postal code. It narrows mail routing but does not establish City jurisdiction.
PO-box ZIP
A code used for post-office-box delivery. The research did not identify a PO-box-only ZIP as one of Green's six City-serving codes.
Unique ZIP
A code USPS assigns to one organization or institution when applicable. No Green unique ZIP was identified in the researched City list.
Carrier route
A delivery route grouping used by postal operations. It is not a Green parcel, title, or resident list.

For a Green deed or parcel search, rely on the legal description, parcel ID, and situs address. Keep the postal locality as an additional search clue, especially for historic Green Township and hamlet records.
